All-American Model United Nations Travel Team
The best competitive, results-driven Model United Nations program for high school students in the world. For students looking to improve as delegates, scholars, and leaders.
Who is the All-American Model UN Travel Team For?
Little or No School Support
Many of our students attend schools that either don’t have a Model UN program or their team doesn’t attend national conferences
International Travel
We believe that Model UN can unlock the world for students. We offer several international conference programs for students to gain a truly global perspective.
Differentiated Experience
All-American Model UN is the only merit-based, competitive travel Model UN team in the country. Our students use their experience with us to set themselves apart as leaders.
Background
Founded in 2012, All-American Model United Nations has worked with over 1,000 high-potential, high-performance high school students to use Model United Nations to engage student academic passions. In 2023, we transitioned to a cohort-based program. Accepted students will meet with our team of mentors several times a month for year-round support and training.
Students who earn an acceptance onto the All-American Model UN Travel Team have the opportunity to differentiate their Model UN experience from the over 200,000 students who participate in the activity each year. Our teams consistently win delegation awards at conferences in the US and abroad.
World-class Training Program
Over 16 years of proven training tactics and materials.
More Info
Our tactics and strategies are tried and tested. Since 2011, over 90% of All-American Model UN students have won individual awards and recognitions while competing with our teams.
Using our proven training, the new cohort-based program will allow students to prepare for conferences with their school team or solo.
Students enrolled in a cohort will have full access to our database of training exercises.
Online Training Sessions
Meet with mentors and fellow students to track progress and practice skills.
More Info
Our online training calendar includes:
Twice monthly cohort sessions, where all students enrolled in the All-American Model UN cohort will meet with our mentors to practice Model UN skills through case study analysis, practice drills, and mock simulations.
Once monthly skill labs, where students get a chance to deep dive into a particular Model UN skill and receive individualized coaching from mentors to improve.
Once monthly speaker series sessions, where students hear from international relations scholars, college admissions officers, and Model UN alumni to learn how to use Model UN to leverage their personal, academic, and career goals.
Twice yearly simulations to practice Model UN skills in a real Model UN environment, while receiving real-time feedback from coaches.
Training sessions will be used to review individualized training plans. For a full program outline, please scroll further down this page.
All students can join the training session when preparing teams to compete at conferences.
Compete at Model UN Conferences
We compete at conferences in the US and worldwide with our #1 ranked MUN team.
More Info
The heart of the All-American Model UN cohort program is that students may enroll on teams that will compete at some of the best Model UN conferences in the world.
Most of our students join All-American Model UN because they are looking for additional support and opportunities not afforded them by their school program.
We have been traveling with teams of students for over ten years across four continents. Safety and security are our top priorities.
JV Acceptance
Students offered a JV acceptance have demonstrated a passion for Model UN and high academic performance. Students on the JV team may attend all training sessions and most conferences, except for those designated only for the Varsity team. Our goal is to advance JV team members to Varsity as soon as possible. Students can earn a Varsity acceptance by actively participating in cohort meetings and trainings, attending virtual simulations, and winning awards at conferences.
Varsity Acceptance
Students offered a Varsity acceptance have demonstrated consistent, award-winning Model UN performance, extracurricular leadership, and high academic standing. A Varsity acceptance allows students to compete with All-American Model UN on any travel team until college matriculation. To earn acceptance, students either must successfully complete a Summer Academy or submit an online application.
