MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Frank Pobutkiewicz started All-American Model UN in 2011 and since then has worked with hundreds of high school students across the United States. While at Boston University, he was the first president of the International Affairs Association, first Secretary-General of the Boston Area Model UN conference, and head delegate for over two years. In the last ten years, Frank has been the founder of two education companies. He also currently works at Activation Capital as the Director of Entrepreneurship and Ecosystem.

Gab MacKay is the Program Director for All-American Model UN. While in high school, Gabby competed for All-American Model UN as a member of the US travel team and international travel team. She currently attends American University and is a key part of American University’s #1 ranked Model UN travel team. Gabby is a well-rounded delegate and has won multiple gavels in high school and college Model UN. After finishing her undergraduate studies, Gab plans to pursue a Ph.D. in international space security studies. 

Ward Alktaish (he/him) is a senior at Boston University pursuing a BA/MA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Biotechnology and minoring in Public Health. He is from central Jersey but was born and raised in Syria. Ward has competed in MUN throughout High School. At Boston University, Ward has previously staffed two BosMUNs as Chair and served as the USG of ECOSOC for BosMUN XXI before being elected as Secretary-General for this year’s BosMUN. He also staffs BarMUN, which is BU’s collegiate MUN conference. He loves BosMUN very much and cannot wait for it to come to life through the hard work of everyone that will participate and staff it. Outside of MUN, Ward plays water polo and serves as the treasurer of BU’s Men Club Water Polo team. He also conducts lung injury and sepsis research with a BU Medical School faculty member. On the weekends, Ward loves trying out new restaurants in Boston that he saw on Tiktok. He can be reached by email at [email protected].

Faisal Ahmed (he/him) is a junior at Boston University pursuing a BA/MA in Economics with Minors in Applied Human Development as well as Business Management and Administration. He is a third culture kid who spent his childhood living in Khobar, Boston, and Miami and is ethnically Indian. He has been doing MUN for the past seven years and participates in the various branches of BU’s International Affairs Association. This year, he is serving as the Director-General for BosMUN XXII.
